Raiding Capability

So I was looking through be imba's rankings for the guild and wanted to share this here.

You can see that we still have a lot of characters in the guild who are gear/enchant ready for raids, so yes we've lost some strong players, but no we are not on the verge of losing our raiding capability (a feeling which seems to have been going around the guild at the moment).

I am hoping that the recent departures form a watershed for us, DoH is a social guild that raids not a raiding guild with some social activities, a number of the players who have left seemed to have lost sight of that. For me and a lot of the other guild officers having fun with people we like is what we play for, while raiding is part of that it isn't the be all and end all. With that in mind while we are looking to improve our raiding capability and get the guild to a level where 25 man Uld is possible, but we are not in a huge rush.

At the moment getting a few more people the chance to experience Uld 10 is where we are focused so we are trying to form a second team. As the Thursday team class mix is not ideal for a few bosses, we currently have 'just enough' capability to down them, so we will currently be continuing these runs with the team as is. Ideally the second team will be built up with other main raiders, but we may consider moving selected members of the Thursday team over to bring experience into the new group (but not at the expense of collapsing the current runs).

So if you want a shot at getting into this team what do should you be doing?

While gear scores are a great start you also need to be raid prepared so make sure you check this post before coming along
A few people have a number of warnings next to their characters - why not head over to be imba and see if these are easy fixes?

As you can see from the list below tanks are where we are short at the moment so if you have a character that can (and you'd like to give it a try) it might be worth specing to tank

Notes

Some people were caught in pvp or off spec (i.e. Themonks)
Despite looking class by class be imba does occasionally miss people so apologies if any characters are missing
This list includes alts so even though it looks like we have 33 Uld 25 man ready characters, we almost certainly do not have that many players
It also includes the alts of some players who have left with their mains (and who I don't want to invite to raids)

i think i am geared for uld 10 man

but anywayz - great post lissia and shows that you have put your time in for it and my god does it look good

As I don't pvp and Lissia isn't dual classed this always gives me a good snapshot of how I'm doing...more work need though I'm only 4th highest score Very Happy

(probably lower if certain peeps were in there main gear)

i know i was in pvp gear Razz

my DPS set i got rating of 510 not sure tanking i check that tonight for you lissia. i know imba said with my setup on dps i should aim for ulduar 25.

Absolutely brilliant morale boosting and positive up beat post Lissia - just what we all needed to get us back up and running again Smile

We're not down and out yet, the guild and the strength in depth we still have has alot to offer and we're still theoretically stronger if we work at it and get our act together than some of the other guilds we have lost members to recently (who I firmly believe are also gonna find it a struggle to burn thro Ulduar25 anytime soon).

Your post should be a real help towards realising that DoH is far from dead yet Smile
