Re: Ulduar guides
Oh quit moaning - it is still new content at the end of the day and it will take time for everyone to become fully familiar with it regardless of Tankspot and WoWwiki. We knew all about how the Malygos encounter worked for many months before we downed him but it was learning how we all work together as a team on that boss that did the job not just reading up upon the tactics in advance (which I do of course fully hope and expect people will do).
I remember back in the TBC days of DoH when it took about an hour of talking before we were able to one shot Magtheridon whereas before that without all the pre-amble it was an un-coordinated mess resulting in repeated wipes. A necessary evil I'm afraid sometimes and it soon passes as we get our act together.

Re: Ulduar guides
This post was made after the first raid-last nights was much better because there was visible progress.
My main problem with people not doing their homework is that the don't tend to pay attention to the half an hour of chat-you have to question its effectiveness when people were giving each other ligthbomb hugs . I don't mind wiping because people aren't used to their jobs, but i do mind if its pointless wiping because people don't know what their jobs are.
Also basing it entirely of guild expierience is dubious too-i'm not sure who it was but i'm pretty sure they'd have been willing to swear on their mothers life that the trash couldn't be killed. How many times did careless pulling of that trash wipe us?
Ulduars the stage where everyone has to play their part, and asking them to take fifteen minutes to watch or read a guide is hardly unreasonable-and may well be the difference between a wipe and a kill.

Re: Ulduar guides
y I agree totally with wally. What I meant with hard work is basically watch videos and read deep tacts. Everyone need to do his partr in this hard place. I know it was just our second attempt but for example hunters could launch their frost trap to slow the scrapbot while they aoe 'em =) If I can remind it correctly adds of XT can be frozen, stunned and slowed. This boss il a bit hard for ranged as they have to dps the heart or we wont have enought dps to kill the boss, and then they have to focus on the add very quickly! Try to look for videos made by ranged dps, I've found one made by a mage but can't remember the name. Maybe it was a ptr one. Try to check it, it's a very good video and i'm sure it can help u.
OK i founded the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjctfZKCVSc&feature=related
look at the mage =) I want a blizzard too! =)
As u can see they have about 10 ppl doing 3k , 3.5k dps. I know it's not easy to dps in this fight but we have to learn how. Practise will help us =)

Re: Ulduar guides
Both tankspot and stratfu released guides to the final boss this week-read through both and you'll probably know the boss better than your own mother ,though don't feel you have to-they're roughly the length of the dictionary-though try to at least watch the tankspot guide.
